Honoring Everyone.

Welcome to the Center for Spiritual Living Greater Dayton!

A Community Where You Can Be Yourself

Finding a spiritual home isn’t always easy. Many of us arrive here after searching—seeking meaning, purpose, and a place where we can simply be ourselves. At the Center for Spiritual Living, we’ve found an open, caring, and inclusive community that has changed our lives. It’s a place where friendships grow, spirits expand, and each person is seen, heard, and valued.

We are a diverse, non-denominational, and non-dogmatic community, shaped by many backgrounds and life experiences. Here, curiosity is welcome, questions are encouraged, and hearts and minds are both engaged. Through the teachings of Science of Mind, as introduced by Ernest Holmes, and wisdom drawn from many traditions—especially Eastern philosophy—we explore spirituality in ways that are practical, uplifting, and relevant to everyday life.

With inspiring music, meaningful conversations, and a deep sense of care for one another, we strive to create a safe space to explore, to give, and to receive. If you’re seeking a spiritual home that honors who you are and supports who you’re becoming, we invite you to come and see for yourself. We think you’ll feel the difference.

Our Philosophy

  • God is All There Is, infinite and always available.
  • Wherever you are God is – in you, with you and as you.
  • “Heaven” is a state of mind. We experience it individually to the degree that we believe it.

This doesn’t mean we don’t have problems—we’re human! It means we remember that we are not our problems and that there is spiritual truth even in the midst of our problems.

We Believe…

You are loved, accepted and celebrated right where you are, no matter who you love, what you wear or where you come from.

All people are blessings, made in the image and likeness of God / Spirit / Universal Intelligence.

The Infinite Love, Power, Wisdom and Creativity of God is expressing in and through all creation –including you and me.

We honor and learn from all faith traditions, knowing we are One.

Freedom is the birthright of every individual. We are free to choose to create our unique experience of life.

Join us and create what’s possible in your life and community.

Who We Are

Our Vision

We are one with all expressions of life. We are always evolving as we live in harmony with spirit as our source. We respond to the internal call to know the expansiveness of who we truly are -- one with the Divine and all life. We feel it; we believe it; we live it and we share it.

Our Mission

The Center for Spiritual Living Greater Dayton (CSLGD) works to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community through offering education and experiences aligned with the teachings of Science of Mind, sponsoring community building activities and engaging in sacred activism within our local community.

Our Purpose

CSLGD is a community offering compassionate support as we learn to love regardless of conditions. We each come from many faith backgrounds, and through the teachings of Science of Mind and Spirit, we learn, grow, and heal. As we discover the Higher Power within, we manifest our best lives and create a world that works for everyone.

"Change your thinking, change your life."

- Ernest Holmes

A Simple Format For Affirmative Prayer

Feel free to substitute words like Spirit, Source, Infinite Intelligence, or The Divine for “God.” Use whatever term feels comfortable and right for you. Also feel free to expand it as you are led so that you feel it. Feeling helps put energy into prayer.

“I know that God is the source of all good. I also know that God is all there is and nothing is separate from God. Therefore, I know that I am one with God, and that God’s truth is my truth. I know that God is (love, peace, joy, health, abundance, or whatever you are praying for), and because of my oneness with God, this is also my truth. I am (love, peace, joy, health, abundance, or whatever you are praying for). I know it; I feel it, and I give thanks for this. I release this prayer into the Divine creative nature and let it be. And so it is.”
